Lake Claire

Bordering Candler Park to the east, historians believe the Lake Claire neighborhood was more than likely named after the Lake Claire Garden Club founded in the mid 1930's. The neighborhood streets are dotted with 1950's style cottages, craftsman bungalows, and a few modern designs thrown in. The Lake Claire Community Land Trust organization was founded in 1987 as part of an ongoing effort to preserve and maintain an active green space at the cul-de-sac on Arizona Avenue for the residents of Lake Claire as well as the surrounding neighborhoods. Working alongside the Land Trust organization is the Lake Claire Neighbors Association. Together these two organizations are a vital link to Lake Claire's past, present, and future.
